George Hennessy
George Hennessy has over 15 years of hands-on business, sales, and marketing experience with cutting-edge telecom services and technology equipment vendors including Yurie Systems, Lucent Technologies and Tellium.
As director of branding at Tellium, George clearly distinguished the company from its competitors in the optical switching space which was critical to Tellium's rise to number one market share. In just seven months, George’s branding efforts took Tellium from relative obscurity as a small startup to top 15 brand recall among all telecom equipment vendors according to an independent marketing study by a major industry association. He also played a pivotal role in Tellium’s communications efforts to the financial community for its initial public offering in May 2001. Tellium’s IPO was quite successful, raising $149 million, despite the downturn in the equities and telecommunications markets.
Prior to Tellium, George built and executed numerous partner and channel marketing programs that exceeded revenue goals by up to 600%. George brings to your communications efforts an engineer’s understanding, a marketer’s savvy, and a deep-rooted knowledge of the technology space. This rare combination will prove invaluable to your market success. George’s efforts have consistently exceeded market and revenue goals and driven success for clients and customers alike.
